Public Speaking Course:Heirloom HandoutsIf you want your audience members to keep your handouts instead of throwing them away as soon as they walk out the door, you must build up your presentation skills learned in my public speaking course. You have to give them a reason to keep it, so they won't just throw it away. You can do this by strategically placing key reference material on EVERY SINGLE PAGE of your handout. The material I use is always specifically chosen for that audience. The reference items you can use might be website addresses, important phone numbers,
book titles, or funny material like cartoons that apply to the audience's
industry. Using what you learned in your public speaking course means that the
information isn't put on one page at the back of the handout where that page can be torn off and the rest thrown away.
